Arunachal Pradesh Tour Package 11 Nights & 12 Days



Day 01: Guwahati – Shillong (122 Kms /03 hrs drive)
Upon arrival at Guwahati Railway station / Airport, you will be received by office executive and drive down to Shillong in an executive vehicle. During the course of journey, visit Kamakhya Temple & Umium Lake. We drive straight to Nilachal Hills (225 m ht) where the Kamakhya group of temples is located. The inscription written on rock found to be 5th century AD when these temples were constructed. After three hours of leisurely drive brings you to this beautiful hill station. Enjoy overnight stay at Shillong.

Day 02: Shillong – Cherrapunjee – Shillong (55 Kms/02 hrs drive)
After taking breakfast at the hotel depart for Cherrapunjee by surface. En route you can visit Myllien – a village of blacksmith that is located at an altitude of 1720 m and an approximate distance of 16 Kms from Shillong. Keep your cameras at the ready to enjoy a photo stop at Mawkdok valley (Altitude 1820m). Further we move to Sohrarim (old Sohra i.e. Cherra or old Cherrapunjee – Altitude 1680 m) to take a glimpses of the magnificent megaliths. Later we go to Ram Krishna Mission, established in 1913. It has an interesting museum with Khasi, Garo and Jaintia artifacts. We by- pass the main Cherra Bazaar and proceed to see the magnificent view of the Nohkalikai falls – fourth highest falls in the world. After that we come back to main Cherra to take a view of the Mawsmai limestone caves. In months of April when the orchid blooms you can opt to visit the Thangalang Park, which has a greenhouse. Return to your hotel in Shillong after this long day. Overnight stay at Shillong.

Day 03: Shillong – Nameri National park (275 Kms / 06 hrs drive)
After taking breakfast at the hotel, today we drive towards Nameri that is located on the banks of River Jia Bhoroli and on the Assam – Arunachal border. Nameri National Park was opened in November 1998. The park is a home to white wing duck, Sambar, Barking Deer, Hog Deer and Elephants. Though sighting of every animal is bit difficult ads the park has over 350 species of even bird also. Tourists can enjoy the true wilderness and rustic beauty of the Nameri jungle. The best spots inside the park are accessible through boats. Enjoy overnight stay in a tented camp.



Day 04: Nameri – Dirang (180 Kms / 06 hrs drive)
After having early lunch and all we drive and cross the border and enter into Arunachal Pradesh and commence an uphill drive to Bomdila. We stop at Bomdila and visit the Gompa, local market, museum, emporium etc. Later we move to Dirang. En route you can visit Tipi Orchid Park that is situated on the banks of the Bharali River. Tipi is known for the widest assortment of orchids found in India. It is quite interesting to know that more than 500 species of orchids is found here. After a long leisure drive arrive Dirang i.e. located amidst spectacular valley. Dirang is particularly famous for apple orchids, sheep breeding farms and natural hot springs. Dirang is an ideal place for adventure activities like trekking and hiking. Overnight stay at Dirang.

Get up early in the morning set out to explore Dirang. First of all we move towards Sangti valley, situated along the shores of Sangti River only 25 Kms away from Bomdila. Sangti valley is one of the seasonal homes of the majestic creature called the black necked crane that files across from China and perhaps Leh – right into its laps. Further we proceed to visit Sheep Breeding Center, Yak Research Center, Horticulture Garden, Monastery, Dirang Dzong, Dirang village and if we get enough time visit the Khaso village. After we finish sightseeing come back to hotel and overnight stay at Dirang.

Day 06: Dirang – Tawang (180 /07 hrs drive)
Take breakfast and all and check out from the hotel on time. Today we drive towards Tawang which is historically and naturally endowed. Tawang is the showcase and premium highlights of the entire journey. You can stop briefly at the Sela Pass at 14000 ft. Now onwards the road goes downhill and there will be many photo shoots spots. En route you can visit Jaswantgarh memorial – Jaswant Singh PVC of Indian Army who single handedly repulsed a Chinese attack but fell bravely defending his position. You will get an opportunity to visit Nuranang waterfalls. Reach Tawang and complete the check-in formalities. Overnight stay at Dirang hotel.

Get up early in the morning and take buffet of breakfast at the hotel. Today our whole day is dedicated to city excursion including visit to the famous Tawang Monastery. This is one of the oldest monastery in India and even second largest monastery in Asia after Lhasa Monastery. Its architecture is found to be near about 300 years old and locally it is called Gompa. Tawang is situated at an altitude of 3500 meters above sea level; the natural beauty of the place is very mesmerizing. The city is mostly inhabited by people of Tibetian origin. There are many beautiful glacial lakes in and around Twang with crystal blue waters such as Sela Lake, Sangetser Lake, Banggachang Lake and many more to list. Later we go to visit the craft center and traditional Monpa village. After we finish sightseeing come back to hotel & enjoy overnight stay at Tawang.

Day 08: Tawang – Dirang (180 Kms /07 drives)
Get ready early in the morning after having breakfast and all and drive down for the return journey to Dirang. En route catch the glimpses of picturesque sights you might have missed out before. Arrive Dirang and complete the check-in formalities at the hotel and enjoy rest of the day at leisure.

Day 09: Dirang – Tezpur (195 Kms / 06 hrs drive)
After taking breakfast check out from the hotel on time and drive to Tezpur in a comfortable executive vehicle. Arunachal Pradesh gives you bid farewell at Bhalukpong and you enter into the fertile plains of Assam once again. Tezpur is situated on the north bank of River Brahmaputra is a beautiful and multifaceted city steeped in mythology and history. The city surrounds in archeological sites, hills, lakes, gardens and ample of natural bounty. Tonight your stay is arranged at tea garden bungalow. If time permits you must visit the tea factory to see how tea is processed. Overnight stay at Tezpur.

Day 10: Tezpur – Kaziranga (50 Kms/ 03 hrs drive)
Get up early in the morning and freshen up yourself and get ready to take a long morning walk in the gardens and soak in the pure puff of air and fresh fragrance of the tea garden and other flora available. After rejuvenating your mind and body come back to your bungalow and have tea, breakfast and all. Today we proceed to Kaziranga National Park by surface. En route you get an opportunity to see immense bridge that spans over river Brahmaputra. Kaziranga National Park is a highly reputed wildlife sanctuary in Assam. Popularly called as the mini-Africa in the Indian sub continent, the park is blessed with more than 70% of the world’s one-horned Rhino’s population. Reach Kaziranga and complete the check-in formalities at the hotel. Enjoy overnight stay in Kaziranga.



Start your day with the buffet of breakfast and soon after we depart for elephant ride amidst the jungle of Kaziranga in search of one-horned rhino’s. Elephant safari is the most feasible option to explore the wilderness of the park. You get an opportunity to see herds of Indian elephants, one-horned rhinos and many other wild creatures from a close distance. After you finish safari come back to your lodge and take lunch. After that we move towards eastern range to take open Jeep Safari. The eastern range is ideal for watching water birds. After having refreshment you may go for the western zone safari. In evening enjoy local cultural program at the lodge, have dinner and overnight stay in Kaziranga.

After breakfast check out from the resort on time and drive towards Guwahati for your onward destination.
